Transformer Test Bench – Important Features and Working

Transformer Test Bench is made to test any transformer, whether a distribution transformer or a power transformer, to see if it can handle its rated capacity according to National and International Standards. During the making process, each part of the bench is made to be consistent and accurate. These instruments can be used manually or with a PLC, depending on what is needed. The units have been made to the point where transformers up to 10MVA have been tested. There are different kinds of tests for the units.

Transformers can be tested for both full-load losses and no-load up to a maximum of 30MVA. Transformers and DVDFs for up to 220MVA and AC HV Test Sets for up to 220kV are also available.

Features

• There are four input/output ranges available in Transformer Bench. Continuous single-phase AC voltage from 0 to 480 volts, with four user-adjustable limit setpoints to prevent the transformer from overloading.

• Digital Voltmeter shows supply voltages to transformer (600V max).

• Reference analogue voltmeter also shows voltages to transformer (600V max)

• Voltage divider screen shows incoming voltage from transformer up to 100kV; when the supply current reaches 20A, a warning light will turn yellow the red light shows at 33 amps when over the current limit is reached; start, stop, reset, and emergency stop buttons for test cycles; footswitch failsafe must be turned on to test transformer; interlock switches provide extra safety features for test area access gates during testing.

Why it's essential to Transformer Test Bench

Transformers are essential to making electricity, sending it to other places, distributing it, and using it. So it's clear that transformers need to be tested and maintained regularly. Here are some of the main reasons why transformers need to be tested by transformer benches manufactured by Transformer Test Bench manufacturer in India:

• To ensure that an electrical transformer's main parts are working well.

• To make sure that the whole transformer works.

• To lower the chance that it won't work.

• To confirm the transformer's specs and how well it works.

• To avoid electrical, thermal, or mechanical problems that could cause failure in the future.

These are common ways to use transformers, the different kinds of transformers, the tests you can do on them, and how important they are.
